I've got a 1992 dodge 1/2ton pick-up with a 4bt out of a bread truck and was wondering what the exhaust housing size was on the stock turbo. They probably had different turbos throughout the years but I'm not sure exactly what year this one is maybe roughly a late or mid 80's Cummins. It has a rotary pump on it.

It is a pretty slow turbo, I mean, the truck isn't a horse by any means but I think it should respond a bit quicker, I've got a waste-gated HX 35 that I'm going to put on it. It may be too big, if that's the case I've got some injectors that I can try in it. Then I can crank on the pump a bit more to supply a little more fuel to the injectors.

You could even just put a 12cm housing on that H1c and it would spool much faster with stock injectors. Mine did. If you put that Hx35 on there you'll want a little more fuel. I just put a hy35 on mine this weekend and I'm in friggin love now.

If i would have got a hold of an HY that would have been great but the HX was on my p-pump project so I'm going to use it and see what happens.
