The entire industry is and will be moving towards cutting down the smoke. Nobody said you have to be smoke free. On the race track its not an EPA issue so much as its a Safety Issue. When a truck or trucks is blacking out the entire track, nobody can see if one of the vehicles gets into trouble. More than once this year there has been situations where the next pair of trucks are staging and ready to go and find out that you have a disabled truck in the shutdown area.

If you have any questions about what the industry thinks about smoke, watch the interviews we did at SEMA.

Thank you.

WTH, come on be real. With as quickly a growing sport as the diesels are why would you start the rumour mill like this? Find out the facts before you all start blowing your yaps off. At the very least why would you be dogging the only association that has pushed the GROWTH of the sport here in Canada? Are you all that bored during the off season that you can't see the reasonings or reality of change? For the stateside patrons I know you have options but from my understanding sitting back and watching all the associations out there (including the NHRA) changes must be made for the safety and best of the sport.

The amount of black you throw out has absolutely no bearing on your speed or HP. Last time I checked the more black you spewed the more fuel wasted/unburnt. I may be wrong but that is the way I understand it. Myself I enjoy the sound of my truck first and foremost. Also, don't get me wrong I bomb just as much as most of you and enjoy the fact that I can. What good is bombing excessively at the track when it gives a false start or impedes your sight for a good light?

TIJMHO

Happy racing, pulling and bombing as it were.

I agree that smoking down the ENTIRE track is pointless and some tuning needs to be done. but at the starting line you cant expect the smoke to go away.

you'll have to look up some pics if you dont know what i mean but take off your afc housing and either slide your fuel plate all the way forward or just pull it out. either that or get a massive turbo. you'll never move but it would look cool
