Intake, exhuast, and turn down the chip. Water/meth is nice but a turbo is a much better option. Are you lugging it? Really it comes down to how much you want to spend. Mine towed all of I70 a few weeks ago with that much weight and only hit 1250 once. I even stayed at 70mph the whole way up. But I have a 6 speed so I just kept the boost up.

Oh and my smarty was on TNT#9 the whole time......

Colorado is up high where the air is thinner, so that is a challenge. But to answer your question gutting or loosing the cat would be an inexpensive step in the right direction. Also a BHAF (big honkin air filter) is an inexpensive step in the right direction. Also people like the Ice Box and it looks good.

Not at all, there are no exhaust sensors on these trucks like gassers have

I would start with a 4" exhaust and a cold air intake, you should see dramatic changes...

Did he tell you it had a o2(Oxygen) sensor? If so he has no clue as to what he is talking about, all you have to worry about when hollowing out your cat is emmissions laws. I'd check those in your county first.
