wanting to goto the desert for thanksgiving some where kinda close like ocitulla wells or strotter wells, jawbone or something

Plan on riding and shooting a lot out there (head down closer to Superstition to shoot).

where is a good area to camp we r gonna stay in the tent and am looking for an area out there that is softer dirt to camp on because we r trying the cook the turkey in the ground method

help plz

have a fire on top of it and put in the ground with coals around it for 6-8 hours
