TheDieselELF is a crook! Buyer beware.

Just figured I'd throw this out there since he screwed me over. Don't want to see it happen to anyone else. I contacted him through the forums to buy a rear dually fender for my '03 Dodge. I told him to get me a shipping price, and let me know how much it would be. HE told me the shipping price, and how much he wanted for the fender. I paid him via Paypal and he said he would get it shipped out that next Monday. After a couple weeks of not seeing it I contacted him again to find out if it was shipped or not. He said that he couldn't find anyone to ship it, and Fedex and UPS wanted $350 to ship it. Told me he was still working on it. I waited a while longer and contacted him again. He gave me a story about it sitting at a shipping transfer station and they didn't know when it would arrive. Now he won't answer PM's on the forum, and won't answer e-mails.
I filed a claim with Paypal, only to be screwed there. He sent me a refund of $11.04, so it closed the claim. Where's my other $290?! That is such a crock of crap. It has now been almost two months since he has been paid for it, and I still don't have a fender. Buyer beware with this user. I just want to make sure this doesn't happen to someone else. Good luck everyone.

What's up with Paypal not backing this member up? Case should be closed with his refund in his pocket. I've had great luck with forum members. Did one transaction to the tune of $850 with complete satisfaction on both ends.

Nothing really new to report. Still haven't seen the fender or any money. Paypal and theDieselelf can both lick my balls.

I ask myself the same question, but it IS a public forum. Ive learned my lesson once and thats all it took. Now I met people in person.... or if I cant I dig up what I can on them before I deal. Ie: How many posts do they have on here? What do their threads look like? etc...

nah some people only care about themselves... I got screwed on a used cp3 for $370 .. no resolution and no help with a resolution either... I thought the moderators would encourage a refund but that was not the case...just turned into a blame game.

there should be a minimum number of posts and or a premium membership involved in being allowed to sell stuff. so many people with under 100 posts selling stuff it seems sketchy..

I agree with that but in this case the guy has been a member for over a year, and has 123 posts. I figured he could be trusted. I guess that's what I get for trying to assume the best in people.
