There is alot more to the story than that, I sent Mr Hood a billet transmission, it did not work properly. I honored my warranty and sent money to his shop to have the transmission removed, and shipped back to me all at no expense to the owner. I fixed the problem with the transmission and shipped back along with all new ATF fluid (another $140 the owner didn't have to cover) Now Mr Hood called me and said it looked like the transmission was dropped off a pallet by the shipping company and the converter looked damaged and wouldn't spin true(pallet was broken and straps broken). The shipping company wasn't going to be liable for any more than $1 per pound so I offered to fix it for FREE again, since it hadn't been installed yet I told him not to install it and faxed a free shipping label so it could be sent back immediately. Mr Hood decided to not listen and had the transmission installed into his truck, against the advice of me. And guess what? The transmission doesn't work properly! He then called me and demanded i pay the shop AGAIN to have it removed, and i told him that i would not pay because damaged transmission usually don't work when installed in trucks. Mr Hood even decided to take me to small claims court! So we all went to court and told our story, and guess what!!?? The judge ruled that i only owed him for the shipping costs one way which he paid in the first place (approx $200) Not the $3500 he originally sued me for! Small claims court and the judge also sided with me!!! So basically the law, courts and myself all agree that I did the correct thing when all this happened. I will still honor my warranty and fix the transmission for 3 years or 100,000 miles from the date it was installed, I'm just not paying for a transmission to be removed when it was damaged in shipping. That is how we last left it in the courtroom. Any questions you can call me 910-515-4762 or check here for a bunch of people running my same transmission with NO issues Would you trust it!!!! Again i am still honoring my warranty and offering to fix the transmission for FREE, for the 3 years or 100,000 miles just as advertised!!!! And here is the original poster trying to sell his truck advertised with a "built" transmission. http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/wa...ml#post1797248 2 min before he stated it STILL didn't work properly. That should go and show the credibility of him? |

It will be built after you get it back yet again and i pay a qualified shop to fix your mistakes. Ironic how you had two transmissions come back the same week huh? To avoid anything like this don't try to save money like I did with a fly by night shop go to one of the big boys like hts or suncoast it is a lot cheaper in the long ![]() ![]() ![]()

Credibilty Hmmm
As far as JCHOOD81 credibilty, its just fine the truck will have a built tranny "probally not yours will find out after it gets back and i'll be waiting on it to put it in again" and if you have any questions about the TRUCK you can PM me. I understand that your trying to build your business but you gotta please your customers no matter what and I pretty sure everyone on here knows that customer service is a big issuse when it comes to a good business man. Mr. Hood just wants the transmission you promised him and that hadn't been delivered yet. Instead of trying to make your case with the judicial system ,which has no credibilty ha, make your trans good and there won't be any issue's. If you plan on that tranny holding up for anywhere near 600hp and 100,000 mile warranty you gotta long way to go. But don't feel like i'm just giving you a hard time I told him to go with a pro mainly, dusty at HTS ![]() ![]()

Why should he pay the shop to take out a broken tranny when he told the man not to install it in the first place?? A broken tranny on a palet is going to work just like a broken tranny in a truck right? The thing shouldnt have been installed, bottom line. That is what this is about. He is offering to fix it. You messed up by putting it in the truck when he advised you not to. Take resposibility for what actions you made against the recomendations of the man that sent you the trans.

And i was not the one bringing the judicial system into this whole ordeal. Mr Hood sued me, he also called the local police in my town to say i was stealing money and items from him. The police showed up, and they also stated that this was getting kinda ridiculous and told me they weren't even going to call him back and told me to have a nice day. It seemed a little shady that I got sued almost $4000 for a $2610 transmission , seems to me like someone was trying to make more money off his own mistake? It is still available just as promised, the transmission can either be shipped back with the FREE SHIPPING LABEL i faxed to him in the first place, or can be dropped off at my apparently non legit fly by night shop located at : 6828 Market St Unit 5 Wilmington NC 28405 Open 8-5 mon-fri |

You messed up by putting it in the truck when he advised you not to. Take resposibility for what actions you made against the recomendations of the man that sent you the trans. The converter walked out on the shaft during shipping, it installed fine. The converter has nothing to do with the overdrive going out nor does it have anything to do with the first piece of s@#$ he sent me. This is actually the second tranny he has sent me neither of which worked right for more than 200 miles. Just trying to keep someone else from going threw the nightmare i went threw. Having to go threw the sheriff's office to get the money for the little bit of settlement I did win. Just adding to the bs of this whole experience. This punk was making a heck of a name for himself before I came along I'm not the only one who has had problems or taken him to court and he is only 21. He is really starting off with a wonderful reputation just wish I had researched him a little more and spent my hard earned money with a reputable shop. Guess i just gotta cut my loses and move on but hopefully what goes around.. |

This thread sounds to me like someone does not want to take responsibility for his mistake and trying to ruin the reputation of a business that has done in all regards the right thing by the customer. jchood has no grounds to even be posting the garbage he is here on this forum because he decided to install a transmission that was damaged in shipping into his truck and then wonders why a broke tranny doesn't work once installed.
