I went with a Ranchhand, but I only did this because I am cash strapped, otherwise I would have definitely gone AP. I have talked to many satisfied customers, but never DIRECTLY to a dissatisfied one. Seems to be some serious bashing without backup going on here.

Well odie, I sure believe all of this because IT HAPPENED TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sent him the money, could not get a hold of him for 6-7 months! Contacted the Del Norte sheriffs department and finally got a call from Jim. He said the bumper would be sent out very soon. Fast forward a 3 months and a bumper shows up with the wrong mounts! Call Jim, he says he's very sorry and will ship the proper ones out very soon. Fast forward 2 months and the bumper is mounted with MY HAND-MADE mounts. This guy makes my blood boil! To anybody thinking about getting one of his bumpers,,,,,,,,,,,DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I have expirince the AP horror story first had tried to purchase one of there bumpers through a locale shop and was told by the shop that the bumper would be here in about 3 weeks. After 3 weeks I went is and asked if it had arrived yet. They stated that it had not arrived and that it should be there soon. Waited a few weeks longer and still no bumper. Later that night I recieved a phone call from the shop I tried to buy the bumper from and Jim at AP would not accept credit card would only accept a certified cheque. So my locale shop was very nervous to purchase from him cause well if that purchase it on a credit card it is insured and could get there money back if the bumper did not arrive. But with a certified cheque they had no safety net on the purchase if it never arrived. So for a few bucks more ordered a Road Armor and should be here in the next 2 weeks depending on customs. Really I am only spending 500 dollars canadian more and seems to be far less hassle. Is saving a few hundred bucks worth the hassle? I sure don't think that it is. With the time I waited to even here word back from AP would be more than enough time to save the couple hundered bucks extra the road armor was worth.
