I have a question about my '99 5.9L. Since having my injectors cleaned, on occasion my 'check engine' light comes on and my tach drops to zero. I also have no power (40K tops) if I'm going up a hill when it happens. My mileage has dropped by 25%. Any suggestions on what it might be?

1693 = companion code in ECM
1291 = no temp rise seen from intake heaters
0606 = ECM Failure
0122 = acceleration position sensor (APPS) signal voltage too low

the tach gets its reading from the cam sensor, but no codes for that. could be a wiring issue between cam sensor and ecm. get that first. Could be a ecm, not super comman but iv replaced a few.
apps sensor could cause a "dead" pedal. does it reset if you turn the truck off/on?

probably not related to your injectors being cleaned though
