I ordered one of these kits for a 94 12v

where does the primary turbo's oil drain go?
The old blocks don't have the extra freeze plug in the rear

i didnt want to pull my engine out to take the oil pan off and drill a hole like so i took an air hammer with a strait punch and punched a hole in the side of the pan and welded on a piece of the stock turbo drain tube on and used the piece of rubber hose included in the kit.

I see!
How did you weld on top of the drain tube... Since there is the oil pan rail
I have done something similar once before and never got it to completly stop leaking through the welding...

So what about these head studs? If I were to run the same twin set up, whould that mean I need head studs? What exactly do they do??

Caleb... I have not seen that angle of the drain tube yet, the drain tube is very kincked, that is very likely the caues of your leak!

all our twins turbo kits are wastegated at 40-45PSI so you do not blow a head gasket, if you want to adjust the wastegate past that you should do head studs. IMO if you have, or plan to have the the jam to run R700's or R850's BD Twin Kits you should already be head-studded.

its not kinked. it just needs a piece of curved hose, but since i got shipped the 24v turbo kit that's all I had to work with at the time

I am just saying it looks kinked in the picture... does it not?

For what its worth, lets get a better hose on there and see if the leak goes away.
