delete dpf offers affordable option

We have watched and read some of you toiling over the "big" descision to go with aluminized or stainless and making your descision a financial one.
The difference between Aluminized and Stainless is far more then monatary.
I actually considered adding an aluminized kit to the site and well....I just can't bring myself to do it. WE HATE ALUMINIZED plain and simple.
So, I don't know if it will help all of you that are on a budget or maybe just some of you but BADP wants you to have the stainless option rather then settle for aluminized because of money. What I have done is added and "installer series" option to the site. You will have to call to order it because I need to be sure that there is NO miscommunication on what the kit consist of.
Basically we will send all the parts you need to have the 5"TBE SS system and plug n play module - but the end user will do his own measuring out and welding of the sensor bungs. We are providing the 02 sensor bungs as well as the actual EGT sensor bungs. (We do not use nuts to attach the sensors and do not recommend that)
If this helps even a couple of you then it is worth it.
I am sure you have all done your homework about the stainless sound, perfect fit etc..so I won't bore you with more comparison. We just really believe that ss is the only way to go.

Check out the site as it is the last entry on the dodge page.

Interesting. So what exactly is included, is it the part#25671-SSTB, but we would have to drill holes and weld the bungs? If so, that's a substantial savings. Does it come with a muffler?

So this new kit comes all the stuff just not the pipe? Wat is a sensor bung? Is that the thing you screw the sensor into?

you get everything you need, you just have to messure the location for the three egt bungs and two O2 bungs, drill each location and weld them in yourself. use something like a step up drill bit.

What is so bad about aluminized?

I have ran it for years and years on canadas winter salt filled roads and have never rusted through it. I know that the stainless exhausts here get discolored and stained from the salt and mud and it wont polish out. The aluminized rinses clean.

x2 you can get at least two sets alum. for the price of ss so if it does rust out buy a new set and you still saved money. I recommend alum so you have more money for other mods just my .02

Thanks Bay Area Performance

I placed my order today for my 5" TBE w/muffler, feel like a kid waiting for Santa... I wanted to thank both Joe & Lori for excellent customer service and offering an option to upgrade to new box for just price difference, even after 30 days is up!! Can't wait for Shane to get the EGR delete completed, but know he won't release it until its perfect..

Yes, aluminized IS more affordable, and it IS quite durable...However, there are a few very important differences in aluminized and stainless steel you should know before making a final decision!

1. Aluminized steel, is a mixed metal material (alloy), which does not have anywhere near the tensil-strength, or density that T-304 (PURE) stainless steel has. Which is what BADP makes their kits from.

2. Aluminized exhaust pipes, give off a "resonation" (vibration caused by sound waves) while the exhaust is passing through the pipe...causing the exhaust "note" to become raspy-sounding (a straight-pipe gas-burner sound). While T-304 stainless, is a purer metal, it has a naturally deeper sound to it (a hollow, throaty, roaring sound), and because of the density of it, it does NOT resonate nearly as bad...which in-turn causes better sound quality, and clarity.

I am NOT trying to cause any arguments or uproars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, PLEASE, no bickering or arguing!

I am merely stating the differences in the two materials, and how they differ, and how the sound quality differs, due to the different types of metal!!!!!!

I am NOT stating that any company's product is better than another's, because both H&S Performance, and BADP produce aluminized and stainless steel kits!!!!!!!

With that being said, my opinion is that stainless is right FOR ME!!!!!!!

Not everyone out there has the same opinion, or funds...and that is why "I" believe that BADP decided to make an "Installer-Series" kit.

Thank you, and a happy Valentines Day to everyone!

So with the installer kit, you just put the bungs in the same place as the old sensors right???

This is just one of the reasons I use stainless.

Most of your aluminized kits that are on the market are just a mandrel bent to fit kit this means there are no flow tests done in the process of engineering. the system is simply bent pipe that is packaged and sent out with a generic hanger kit that is not specific to the cab length or body.
Basically a one size fits all kit.

The magnaflow kits are flow tested to achieve the maximum flow rate possible for that system without creating back pressure and/or heat problems.
It is not a one size fits all kit it is a truck specific tuned exhaust that has all the stainless hangers
prewelded on the exhaust for you just like the factory.

All you guys using the regular exhaust clamps need to remember they crimp the exhaust in place meaning you wont get it off without cutting it and when the time comes that you need to install your factory exhaust it will be almost impossible to reuse the exhaust kit after it is cut up.
the stainless clamps we use are band clamps they don't crimp you can use them a 100 times over and never have a problem.

I cant tell you I will always be the cheapest guy around when it comes to parts for your truck but I can tell you that we will give you something worth every dollar that you spent and guarantee that it is the highest quality.
If there is something that looks the same and is cheaper than ours pickup the phone or send me a pm and I will explain the difference in price to you.
You guys have been great to me and my wife and I want to say thanks again for your support
Shane
