Putting the interior door panel back on

I have a 98 12v that needed the stock speaker replaced. I got the inside door panel off fine. I am new to Dodges and am not sure how to put it back on. Do you have to replace the plastic tabs? Do you need a special tool?

I have searched the forum for several hours and haven't found anything. Can someone please help.

If the tabs (also known as christmas trees) are in good shape, just put them into the slots in the door panel and push them into the holes in the door. Only special tool I have used is to take the door panel off and minimizing damage to the christmas trees and the door panel.

I'll bump this and ask..

well I have a 1st gen and I can't figure out how to get the interior door handle on/off easily. The bolt is behind the door panel which is held too close to the door itself to be able to reach it. I know there must be a trick but I've taken every screw I can find out.
