Murdered out

Anybody ever heard of this? Its when people paint their vehicle flat black. I mean everything except the windows and tires, Chrome, trim plastic everything.

Well I run a paint and body shop shop, but all we do is heavy construction equipment and tractors. I have a nice new booth, and some nice cup guns and pot setups. Were set up to spray epoxies and polyurethanes.

Well I am about to paint a buddys Yukon next weekend. He wants it "Muredred out" flat black. like this one

Anybody know what type of paint this is? Its not a full falt black because flat black would feel gritty like, I think its more of a satin, or semi gloss............any ideas?

You can also get a PPG product called DCC or concept that can be flat, eggshell, satin, or semigloss and they all spray very nicely, just have to find a jobber that knows where to find the correct flattening ratios

I like the idea of that. Ive never messed with catalyzed urethanes before. We do a PPG urethane, its called aue300, we mix it with PPG aue421 hardner, ppg ua11 accellerator, and a little jr507 reducer and I really dont care for PPG stuff. Its still pretty thick after reducing but sprays decent out of my 1.5 tips.

Whats the deal with the SEM stuff?? Just stir and spray? Of does it have to be thinned? What size tips do you think would be good for it?

SEM Products - Catalog
theres a link to the SEM
And that PPG aue 300 is an industrial polyurethane, completely different than their automotive paints.
