painted bumpers

I have a black truck with the stock chrome bumpers. I want to take them off sand them, paint and clear them to match the truck. I am making everything black. Wheels, no logos, black bumpers and grille. Has anyone else done this? How is the paint stickin on the bumpers. O and if you have pics could you post them up?

did all mine. paint has stuck o.k. so far for 3 months. a few minor adhesion issues where the plastic on the bumper meets the chrome on the rear one. the plastic expands and contracts with heat and cold and rubs the paint. here's before and after pics. i did the bumpers, badges, grill, exhaust tip, and wheels.

Adhesion promoter or a good self etching primer.
