Subscribed. I have the same issue. The previous owner of my truck slobbered on a cheezy w-mart liner and the spray dudes won't touch my rig.

The Linex guy that sprayed my last truck told me that they do remove a lot of old spray-on liners, not sure what brands. Good Luck Mark

yup it sucks. i took it to work and used the high pressure washer it sprayed off what was loose and coming up but there is a lot left. i know i could probably hit it with 80grit and scuff whats loose off than they can spray it but i would feel more comfortable with it gone. maybe a good aircraft paint stripper will do?

I've got the same problem with my Chevy due to Herculiner. Its not supposed to chip, crack, or peel... well its chipping, cracking and peeling. I've tried removing it using everything from a putty knife to sand paper. it's a pain in the neck so I gave up since its only my beater.

theres is a stripper they use on aricraft that is dubbed "baby poop"

i just used this to strip a go cart frame...you smear it on..let it sit for a half hour...and then start blasting it off...it comes off easy taking the surface down to bare metal so be ready to take it in the day after you do it..the surface rust appears after a day or two even if kept inside untouched and dry

im not sure of the real name of the agent but its a brown creamy material and it comes by the pint....it goes a longggg way

Heatgun and putty knife. Also , If it's still pliable you can grab a corner, use a utility knife, and make like you were skinning a deer.

The driver's side of my pickup took over 8 hrs to strip. Had to use the heatgun and putty knife. It was somewhat brittle and came off in chips. The pass. side was still pliable and came off in sheets using the skinning method. Took only 2 hrs.

Road salt in the winter, I believe, changed the composition of it. So that's why the driver side was brittle.

The stuff's evil to take off.

Good luck

Wonder if sandblasting would work? Might be worth a shot to take it to a sand/bead blasting shop and see what they say.

Putty knives, screw drivers, and a grinder with a wire cup brush. I used to work for Line-X and I've had to remove a few bedliners. Peel and pick at what you can and leave the rest of the stuff for the grinder. Most spray-on bedliners require the paint to be sanded and scuffed for their materials to adhere anyways, so getting after it with the grinder isn't a problem. Once you're all done, blow it all out with an air hose and wipe it all clean with denatured alcohol.
