Houston area... yeah, definately not out of the question. I'm unemployed, so a road trip is easy! LOL but shelling out the cash is harder :p

now im not saying that some of these other companies are not capable and competent but i knew where my truck was going
The company that 1tonmegacab is referring to is Sellers, Inc in Indiana. They have been around for quite a long time as well according to the article in TDR magazine about it. Only thing is with their shop if you want a pickup bed on your truck after the conversion you have to supply it and that is why their conversion costs 2500 bucks. They stretch the frame under the cab like Innovative Customs, KS Conversions, and RPM Offroad(located in Phoenix, Az) does. Precision Bodyline, and Go Big Garage(in southern California) stretch the frame over the rear axle.

Ya know, laws of leverage and chit...whereas Precisions cut is between the leafspring mounts, where its supported. And they use a double sleeve splice. Ive seen pics of other companies work where they use just an inner sleeve and call it good. When I get a Mega, its going to Precision when the time comes...

Oh, and heres pics of the shortbed with regular style flares:

Freakin BAD!!!

Those guys are VERY near my house. NICE work from what I've seen. There's an '08, dark grey truck at a local used dealer if anyone wants me to get a phone number for them. I think they were in the low $30s for that truck. I didn't want to spend that much but must admit it was a little tempting.
