Had mine done by Kadell at KS Conversions. Really professional job, I especially like the fact that he has a company make a wiring harness extension with factory connections instead of splicing. At the time I had mine done, the shop in Utah was splicing the harness. Cost was 7000 with B&W hitch installed. He is also the one that does the trucks for Benny Boyd Dodge in TX.:thumbsup

ya kadell did mine also and i liked him not because he does them for benny boyd but because him and his family have over 30 years experience in the( heavy duty) frame business

and on top of that kadell is a top notch down to earth class act he is straight shooter and u wont find a more honest guy anywhere

There is a guy that has a silver dually that is an editor or something for TDR magizine. I talked with him at Indy IRP and he had to bring his own bed but was 2 grand for the conversion. Some place there in Indy did the work.

ya there is a lot of different people out there that now do the conversion but for me the comfort of knowing that the people who did mine have over 30 years in the frame fabrication business

kadell is 3rd generation and these guys customize tractor trailer frames for a living so i am very happy in my choice

now im not saying that some of these other companies are not capable and competent but i knew where my truck was going

I really like the shortbed mega cab dually better than the long bed, I just wish they had put on the regular fat fenders instead of the cheap looking one they have.

I have seen a short bed where they incorperated the wide fenders... Looked pretty good.. Here is another company that performs the conversion

Welcome to LongBedMegaCab

Thumbs up mega cab long bed conversion, anybody?

I've got one. I stripped down a Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab and a Ford F-750 Crew Cab, and I rebuilt the Dodge from the ground up on the F-750 frame.

I also rebuilt a Cummins ISB engine to get wicked gas mileage. I've also got it with an air parking brake and the Voith Transmission, all of which you would normally see on a Transit bus made by Gillig Corp.

Don't ask why I used the ISB engine. I just like the way they sound.
