Quad cab door latch adjustment

The inside handle on the passenger side back door does not open the latch. It seems like the linkage may not be adjusted properly. The outside handle opens the door just fine, but the inside handle needs to pull just a little farther to open the latch. Any ideas?

Im not sure how the linking is but on most its a metal rod that has plastic inserts that go in the holes on the latch and door handle and they may be wore out. Also the handle is plastic so mabe the hole is wore out on the inside handle. Not sure if thes helps but just a thought.

That is what I figured, but how do I get to the linkage to adjust it or replace the sleeves?

first try to pull in on the door when trying to open it from the inside, I had the same problem and it was a rust build up on the assembly in the bottom & top of the door & on the truck.

I just used some PB and a wire brush and now the door opens just fine from the inside.

just a though before you buy any parts!
