S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-D Truck ???
I've got an old '97 4 X 4 - 1 ton cab & a 1/2 Dually... I'm starting to "restore"... back in '97, was the last year of no 1/2 doors... I'd like to find a place to stretch the frame & add a set of rear doors making this a crew cab & a 1/2 long box... I've got the Brilient Blue paint, so of course it's due for a hood & roof repainting anyways... anyone know of a shop that could do this "reasonably" ??? I'd like to keep the rear fold up seat, & replace the now worn front seat & add a middle row, with 4 leather captains chairs... anyone done this ??? know of any midwest shops that could do it ??? I know of a few Fords I see running around @ the county fairs every summer. I have no idea where they were done @ but I'm sure it'd be in the midwest! I'll do some check'n when I see 'em!

I contacted them yesterday... looks like a set of tires, fix that darn 5 speed again, & a couple of other minor things over the summer, then it' off to the bank for a loan... that Blue cab & a half, with the added set of doors is just what I was looking for ( less the 1/2 doors )... should look great with my dually & diamond plate tool boxes... |
