Qcsb drw? Un-long bed a dually please, using a Mega bed

So I was thinking, I reeeeeeally need 4 doors more than I need a 8' bed and I need a 6.5' bed less than 4 doors. I know people have done and shops base their business off long bed conversions for the Megas. I also know guys have done custom short box conversions to reg cab trucks for racing. Is it just as feasible to cut down a quad cab dually to fit the 5.25' (?) Mega bed so I can have a truck even shorter than a qcsb srw?

If this is doable, as "easily" as a mega-long box or reg-short box conversion, maybe I'll pick up a drw since those seem to be selling for peanuts compared to srw's these days. Plus, a 2wd drw on air bags with cut 22.5s would be sex!

My mega bed is a shortbed. There is only 2 sizes of beds for my year anyways. Long bed not offered on the Mega or the shortbed. I'll have to measure but I think it longer than 5.25'. I remember thinking of 60" side chest and still have a foot of clearance for some dual stacks. I think 2009 offers 3 sizes, a very short bed, something like 4'.

I thought the Megacab shortbed was the same length as a Quadcab longbed. I do have the brochure out in the truck. Its late I'll look at it later.

I was googling stuff and the mega bed is 6.375' or so. That was based on a length in inches I found but I don't know if tha was an interior or exterior dimension. I coulda swore the mega bed was even shorter than the short bed. But I did see an article from dc that stated the qclb was the same chassis as the mega.

Megacab bed is the same bed as the short bed trucks. I have one if anyone needs one for a project. Its a megacab dually bed but I used the dually fenders.

That would be great, if I could ever sell my truck so I can go find a qcsb drw and do stuff to it.
