Diesel Drags in Phx

I have some good news for those of us that like to drag our diesels

It has an official date now Firebird Raceway, 9/12/08. It will be during a Friday Night Drags, but we will definitely have 2 lanes reserved for Diesels Only!
It will be $10 to watch, $10 more if you want to race. Normal tech inspection. Gates open at 6pm, racing will probably start around 6:30 or so; going on until 11:30- or when everyone is gone

This is a great opportunity to bring out your ride and show what it can do.

I know I will be there!

Also Diesels in the Dessert will be at Speed world Motorplex on Oct 4. You can get this information at Welcome To SpeedWorld Drag Strip go to the calendar and look at Oct.

Also for those of you that are interested:

On Monday, August 18th, 2008 UTI has the pleasure of hosting a visit from Stunt Driver/Racing Sensation Mike Ryan. In addition to designing, building, and racing the championship Freightliner Century ClassŪ S/T" race truck at the annual Pikes Peak International Hill Climb PPIHC Home Page , Mike Ryan has made a living as a Hollywood Stunt Driver and Stunt Coordinator for more than 25 years. Thousands have seen his work in feature films such as Premonition, Herbie Fully Loaded, After The Sunset, The Italian Job, Training Day, Terminator 2, and Swordfish . Soon, many will witness his prowess in the new film, 12 Rounds. Within the last year, Mike was hired as the stunt coordinator for the hit TV shows Mythbusters and Smash Lab. With over 500 feature films, television shows and commercials to his credit, Ryan is probably best known for his work with semi-trucks, where he can often be seen crashing, burning and getting blown up on screens across the United States.

Mike Ryan and his truck will be set up in the back parking lot by the Dyno area on Monday August 18th from 9am-11:30 am so please stop by if you are interested in meeting Mike Ryan and viewing his new truck

UTI Avondale is located at 107Ave. and Pierce St. in Avondale AZ.
