They sound considerably louder than a stock intake box. They aren't quite as loud as an open-element filter. I think they sound great.

Alot of the guys are asking about how they sound. They are alot quieter then an open filter element BUT on the same note they are fully enclosed and also connect to the factory torque tube, without gutting the tube it will remain fairly quiet. I used an airaid smooth torque tube, removed the silencer ring and modded the intake box a bit opening it up to draw air from the front of the truck while keeping particles (bugs, grit ect) out by integrating a stainless mesh simmilar to the one that pre-filters air from the fender. Ill post some pics up later this week when I get home, really opens up the sound of it quite a bit while not too heavily modifying it.
