I wonder if the intake manifold has to be modified for CNG, or a way that the intake heater is disabled if the CNG is on.

Yeah, probably have to do a Grid heater delete, or add a solenoid to interrupt the Battery power wire when the gas is in use.

Still, it could be made to work.

And just wait and see what CNG prices do then!!!! You think it cost a lot to heat you home last year. If his plan gets put into effect, you won't be able to afford to run your natural gas furnace to heat your home come winter time. It's the same reason why corn prices are so high now.....much is being made into ethanol etc. and being taken out of the food supply!!!! You name wouldn't be T. Bone Pickens would it??!!

Your propane injection system will not work with NG due to the regulators and jets being different. We have a trailer with NG tanks in case of an outage we can get a neighborhood online. The tanks are high pressure like an oxy acetylene bottle. I would say probably 3000psi Ill check if I can. So I dont see your propane tanks working. Let put our heads together and figure this out
riding around with a 3000psi tank would concern me a bit! i think it would need to be secured were its not going to be touched if you get it a major crash. what do you guy think?

I think I have an unlimited supply of natural gas on my property that is heating my home and garages and making my shower water hot every morning and night. All I need is the pump and the truck setup and I'm in for the cheap fuel ride. I'm going to be watching as you all find the least expensive source for the compressors and get the kits all figiured out... and I'll jump on... so long as I dont hear about melted down engines and oil that is contaminated by the blow by potential. I wonder if the additive packages in the oil and the oil itself will be tolerent to whatever new stresses are applied to it by the use of CNG?

For a guy like me with wells on his land... this makes perfect sense.

Dorkweed. If you check it out natural gas is one of our nation's greatest natural resources since it was discovered how to fracture shale to get it out. According to an article in the wall street journal two days ago, gas prices are expected to fall because of supplies exceeding demand. Natural gas costs about $1.20/gal energy equivalent. The big hurdle is the EPA without their blessing it probably won't happen. I don't work for Mr. Pickens. I just checked out his ideas after I saw an ad on TV
