I use one of these

Model 26 Gasboy Electric Pump W/ Meter HIGH SPEED - eBay (item 280244631715 end time Aug-08-08 13:03:41 PDT)

Picked one up used, local off ebay for under $300. Sold the meter. Fills up a 275 gallon plastic tote in under 30 min. 4 valves, one 30 ft hose to suck or discharge oil.

Used one of these before that, it's alot slower.

Fill Rite FR1210C 12 Volt DC-15 GPM Transfer Fuel Pump - eBay (item 280242576012 end time Jul-13-08 16:30:00 PDT)

I have 2 one is a small DC powered diesel transfer pump, got it from northern or harbor freight 3/4" in/out not super fast but works fine & cost $100. the other is a 18 GPM AC diesel pump 1" in/out cost $200. both are Tuthill i think is the brand

be sure and check the AMPS for you inverter. my small 3/4" pump draws 20 amps while the big one is way less.

I use a small bilge pump from any boat supply store. It has a screen to keep the chunks out- uses 12v - so I have a little 12 volt battery that I bring around. You just lower the pump to the level in the oil and attach the wires to a battery. You only have 1 hose since the pump is submerged- and a pice of garden hose fits on just fine. Fills a 5 gallon drum in about 30 seconds. There heavy duty little pumps- and the fluid doesn't matter becasue they are designed to lay in the bottom of a boat and pump out all kinds of nasty fluids.

I use a 1" pump from www.homier.com They cost about $120 (beat THAT!) but are a slipper type. I don't know if that will work. You might need a gear type. I suck out tanks regularly with mine, just switch the polarity. The hose kinda sucks, and you might need to tighten fasteners. Cheap chinese junk.
