Honestly though I've not been playing with it anymore. I've got my truck running on dewatered/filtered WVO. However I'll keep it on the truck. I'm thinking another reason why my truck started to pick up more mileage is by the propane cleaning the combustion chambers/injectors of any deposits. It'll be a good idea to keep doing that every now and then with the WVO. (Course I'm still going to dump 1-2gallons of diesel in my WVO tank as well.) I've got to help a friend install this on his powerstroke as well.

After reading over the propane and its burn characteristics I notice no matter what when propane is burned you'll get water as a side effect of burning propane. So the water is you cleaning agent for the carbon build up and such... Like when I poped a head gasket on the Goldwing the cylinder that got hit with the coolant was nearly spotless... ![]() As for my comment I had to yank your chain a bit there...

Love this thread but Patracy, I think the most efficient way to measure efficiency would be to calculate cost/mile with and without the addition of propane. That way the number can be expanded up to any number of miles. Also, it does not reduce fuel consumption, in fact, from what you said, it probably actually increases it a little because it cleans out the injectors a little bit giving them a better chance to spray. Keep up the good work though man. I, along with everyone else, appreciates your knowledge...oh, and testing this moving bomb out on your truck. takes a crazy SOB to do this but hey, Patton thought he was reincarnated. I'll take the risk.Quote:
