I just figure the hole in that female to female npt is large and with 1.5 psi running through it and the area that is inside that part, it's pushing more propane at 1.5psi then something with a smaller hole. The volume of propane being put into the intake is what i'm concerned about. The 1.5psi does matter if you run it through a syringe or a milk jug...the volume will be different. So if you use a larger opening, would you need to run less propane? I like the part because it's simple but the volume concerns me.

He's said his peace, he's entiled to that at least. I admit he even does have valid points. So I make no promise/warrentee/or libility over what anyone does with thier truck.

As to the question about pressure vs. volume. That's why you run low and build up. Since my setup is contained in the toolbox, I don't know the pressure during the apply. I'll have to get my wife to drive me down the road and I'll make note of it.

I've still not refilled the propane on the truck yet. I just got my draw straw installed, so I've been needing to suck the diesel down. Now I've got to replace the fuel pump I damaged.

I do wish to upgrade my propane hose. I'm thinking that'll be next. And I'd like to keep the current setup, but somehow find a vacuum regulator for the front of the setup to prevent loading. Course I could just pick up another 1/4" solenoid and wire it in at the front.

Well you could use a NPT tap and drill and tap the intake. But I found it easiser to just use the factory intake port. It's located between the MAP sensor and fuel filter (on second gen, likely the same on laters).

Just use a set of reducing bushings from 3/4" to 1/2" to 1/8". I used a 2" nipple to a 1/8" tee then threaded the hobbs switch in one port, and ran my hose for my boost gauge from the other.

Image stolen from mopar1973man guage install. This shows the location.

Heres what mine looks like....

I used a negative pressure regulator, and a Hobbs switch set @ 5 lbs. Works perfect, stop and go or on the highway. One my boost gauge hits 5 lbs I get a pretty good instantly noticeable increase in power. I actually on my second tank of propane and have had no problems since. I wired the system on an LED toggle, And wired the toggle to the ignition so the toggle is disabled unless the engin is running.

My tank.

My regulator

My Hobbs switch.

Diagram of the whole thing.

Me personally...

17.5mpg on diesel
29mpg on diesel with propane

Regulator on mine is back at the tank. His is the round regulator in the second pic. That's what regulating the flow/pressure.
