I ran WMO in ratio's as high as 90% in my IDI for over 3 years starting at 180k miles on the oem pump & nozzels that were allready past time to change & put over 50k more on them before replacing them, At a savings of over $6600.00 I figure that paid for far more than a $200 IP & 8 nozzeles at $15 each leaving me a net gain of $6280 plus to the good. BTW it ran clean enough to pass the wa. emissions test with flying colors.

Update - my 2 micron fuel filter is near plugged up, took all day for about a quart of WMO to drain thru. Outside of that, 3k miles and no issues.. Ops

I've got just over 300 miles on my setup, so far running good. Smell's a bit though.

cut it with paint thinner or gasoline, it'll just about free flow through the filters. don't bother mixing it w/ diesel to get it though filters, it doesn't really help much. PS. I drove 300 miles yesterday and got 34.48mpg (300miles 8.7 gal) but i also used 3.5 gallons of propane. That is 24.59mpg including propane but then again propane here is about half the price of diesel I could hardly believe it when the trip said 300 and the gauge said well over 3/4 tank

I had the pleasure of speaking with Donny last night, he owned and operated a 20 man diesel heavy truck shop for 30 years specializing in rebuilding big diesel engines.In semi retirement, on his own, he has continued at a pretty good pace,when I drop by he usually has a few big cat,cummins or detroits,of customers,on those otc stands on his shop floor in various stages,another in his hot tank,and a rebuilt one waiting to go on his own dyno outside.I have seen the huge Freightliner dealership near here,drop off a semi on a tow hook at Donny's shop for him to figure out where the Freightliner engine mechanic screwed up. Amongst many other things we talked about wmo, he said he has heard of cummins centinal program,but has Never seen one at all,including on any of his customer's engines,fleet customers to single truck own op,he also doesn't know anyone who adds wmo to their diesel in any concentration,and especially not as their primary fuel,and Donny's final comment on any of the issues of wmo for fuel was"Oh,I wouldn't do that!"

Turns out the 2 micron filter is fine, the 10 micron filter has a glob of sludge in it. Challenger, that is why I filter it. My dad was a truck/bus mechanic, and the two bus lines he worked for routinely dumped the drain oil into the storage tanks, unfiltered. As long as diesel fuel is $1 a gallon over gasoline, I'll have to do this or park the truck. As reported before, the truck is much quieter and gets better fuel mileage. That should tell you something.. Ops
