The filter on the right is a 2 micron fuel filter, it takes about an hour or so for 5 gallons of duel to trickle thru. the filtered oil is brown instead of black.

I'm getting 2 mpg more, (20) with plenty of power and a much quieter engine. I may cut down to 15% due to concerns with cold flow to the VP44. And yes, I am still adding 2 stroke oil.

I'll keep you posted.

After 2 years of battle and study work of trying to protect VP44 and fuel system from damage. Now because of fuel prices it doesn't matter what you dump in your tank...

Well you might as well dump in WVO, WEO, ATF, Gear lube, etc... Synthetic or petroluem... But don't come whine back that your injectors, injection pump and engine is ruined because you tried to save a nickle at the fuel station...

As for me and this thread I'm DONE.

If anyone wants my advise you know where to find me at my web site. Good luck and I hope you guys don't eat a fuel system to save a nickle...

In all fairness, they would be saving more than a nickle at the gas station. I think most people relize that they are their own warranty once they start to dump things other than diesel fuel into the system.

Just got here... if it hasn't been asked yet, how'd WEO work with a 98 12 valve?

Anyone here tried it on a big truck? Got a couple of older big trucks than the ones in my sig I would want to try it on. If it works in a tractor it'll work in a otr detroit..... Right???

Know a couple of guys that run WEO in their big trucks after an oil change but not even close to these ratios.

Sure would be nice to not spend $1/mile on fuel!!

If it'll run in any Cummins, it would be the 12v. The 12v is a lot more tolerant of this sort of thing than the 24v's or CR's.

remember you do oil changes to get that crap out of your engines, its no stretch to imagine that adding it through the fuel system would do anything but take years off the service life of the engine

Yep, im sure its just killing the service life of the motor. It runs smoother, quiter, and with more power. Im sure its just tearing up the insides. Not.

anyway, the truck has drank another couple hundred gallons of motor oil w/ no problems

Plvaulter06, It is a good thing you are using your cummins as a test mule for WMO,We here like this type of real hands on science.Your stats that your truck drank "another couple hundred gallons of motor oil" doesn't add up with your previous post declaring your new to this and have 2000 miles of WMO use on your truck.Unless you get less than 10 mpg. We need your statistics to be clean pure measureable science.I can find BS anywhere! For example the subprime mortgage debacle,I didn't buy into that friggin disaster either.Remember the bypass centrifuge oil filters remove dirt from the oil down to about a tenth of a micron.Your engines symptoms of running quieter, with more power I don't dispute. You are running dirty fuel through your fuel system.A baseline oil analysis, and every 10k would help prove your experiment. As for that and your test mule, better yours than mine! Happy Motoring!

Don't think running used oil that's highly filtered is going to cause a problem.

The Fleetguard Statapore oil filters down to 25 micron. The typical fuel filter is 7-10 microns.

Externally filtering the used oil down to 1-2 microns should be good.

You'll have to ignore challenged if it's not endorced by him, you're an idiot.

Personally I ran WEO in my truck for a while, but it killed the fuel filter. I wasn't pre-filtering though. Just drain and in the tank it went. I noticed that mileage seemed to suffer a bit with it. Add to it, my truck smelt like it was burning oil. So I stopped runnning it.

I'd assume that lower doses and a pre-filtered oil would be fine though. Perhaps I'll revist this once I get a few larger things in my life taken care of. But I'll just keep running dino in the tank with 2 stroke oil in there for now. I've got to finish my WVO setup though.
