Why not the buck is where it all ends isn't it ? If we're looking at strictly performance then lots of liquids are better than dino. But I figure if every couple of years that my savings exceed the cost of a new motor then I'm way ahead of the game.

You do have a good point that finances are important to making decisions, but it is difficult to keep emotion out of decision making when finances are involved.

Shorthair, my comments were of a sarcastic nature. Not against your comments. :

My truck is still running great with over 3000 miles on it. 25 gallons oil with 10 gallons kero. and a bottle of diesel kleen 32oz. current overhead mileage is at 18.

I'll be taking another 1900 mile trip this weekend. So i'll be mixing from 5 gallons cans at the gas station.

I have to say that is one tough engine,no doubt at all.We can't really discuss if and how much internal engine damage might have been caused here. For myself it is also difficult to apply this to cummins engines. Lets say three of us were lucky enough to still have enough money left to go out and buy a new 08 3500 ctd, one of us runs on wmo,one on diesel, one on home made bio diesel, knowing that the 6.7 has big problems with plugging dpf, tubos, egr, etc from soot while running on pump diesel, which of these totally stock engines is most likely to run the longest trouble free before plugging up,and which one the least longest? What might this say about the fuel?Bio is in its infancy.I'd like to see a commuter car or truck hybrid electric with a 2bt cummins. Are their any plug in electric car forums yet?

Hello everybody, i'm a new member and i'm very interested in this topic as i have a 1998 12V Cummins too, i've read all the messages and i'm driving allready 4000 troublefree miles on a mixture of waste engine-oil (triple filtered and centrifuged) ,white petroleum and regular diesel in a blend of 80/10/5 percent, My Ram runs a little difficult when cold but after 10 miles theres no difference with regular diesel except for the smoke , lol.
My exhaustpipe is grey/white on the inside (before it was black). Now, here in Europe, dieselfuel is about 2$ per liter which makes almost 8$ per gallon so i guess we have alot of reasons to complain about fuelprices.I love to hear more testresults on this topic, tips about installations and maybe some detailed pictures on the issue ? Sorry about my lame English...

First of all WELCOME.

Your English is better than a lot that I read/hear over here!!!

Glad you are having good success with WMO, etc.

Question. What is "White Petroleum" ??????????

What filters do you use and what centrifuge do you use ??

Do you know the RPM of the centrifuge? That is an item of interest to me.

Thanks

Thx for the welcoming, I use a centrifuge from Dieselcraft which i ordered in your country and after transport & taxes it costed almost double the price listed but whatever ,i have my own machine which filters my oil and spins about 7200tr/min, each barrel cointains 200 liters (55gallons?) and is centrifuged for 3 till 4 hours , i use a sort of heating which i ordered from dieselcraft too to warm the oil up a litlle. At first i used that oil to heat my shop but after reading the articles stated here i was so curious that i tried it in my truck and that's going fine...i hope it stays like this, my truck runs hard at idle but hey, he did that on regular fuel too, just a little harder now and it ejects more smoke too ...
i have tried WMO till 95% but that isn't working, the rate that i do now is working for me...plans for the future are ; an additional little fuelpump, thermostats to check the temperature when the oil is heated using the heat of the Rams coolant, that is about it, i would love to see setups from other guys' trucks instead reading the arguing of how bad WMO is for the engines, constructive replies are better than that continuous arguing isn't it? I also would like to know which year Rams are eligible for running on WMO, i understand that post 98 Rams (24valves) aren't that good for running on WMO ? For your other question, "white petroleum" is what we use over here to burn in little furnaces for extra heat in the house or even in lamps and campinglights... i really don't know the English name for it...but it leaves no trace and burns the soot in older diesel-engines so i was told by my grandpa who was a dieseltrainmechanic in the last century...my Ram is my first diesel, i always drove Dodges the last 22 years...and i'm hoping to dress it up a little with the saved $, maybe add some propane injection for extra power when towing.
So folks ; post some pics please ?

Could it be that some of us call it kerosine over here in Europe...i searched a little and it has the same properties as regular diesel but burns cleaner and is also used for jet engines ...

I was going with that guess for 2 reasons

the whole "petroleum" (as in jelly like) comment

and i DON'T FRICKIN LIVE IN EUROPE so I don't don't know that you call kerosine a different name than KEROSINE

why the hell not just call it kerosine???
jeeesh
