2 Stroke Oil

I have read about a few guys running it (not in this forum though) in the tank to fight the ULSD lube problems. Does/Has anyone tried it. Does it really work. I'm tired of paying the extra 20$ for a few tanks for the over the counter products. Also I heard of one guy running AV gas in his truck also. 130octrain or so, he swore it works great? I don't plan on doing the AV gas but I'm interested in the 2 stroke oil. Thanks in advance for all of the responses.
