I was always under the impression that Fleetguard had the best filters, does your information say that Baldwin proves to be better? Or am I reading that wrong?

You're reading it correctly.

Many of us are using the Baldwin PF7977 for that reason.

Napa Gold/Wix filters are high quality.
So are the XE's the gold filters and the other just the standard ones I assume?

Do you know if they are cellulose or stratapore, doesn't really matter, looks like there better than the mopars that are 35 micron.

They are all "Napa Gold". The XE filters are higher efficiency( glass media?). The non-XE filters have standard cellulose media. I buy mine in bulk from fleetfilter.com.

Pure BS. I have been running all (fuel, oil, air) Napa Gold/Wix filters for years.

Don't know if they still do but at one time Fleetguard made the oil and fuel filters that Mopar uses on the CTD.

That is true fleetguard does... But this is a notice for other mopar filter users...

Remember Dodge Dealer don't like FRAM filters...

Napa Gold/Wix filters are high quality.
Those are all nominal ratings, which means only 50% efficiency... not that great.

Donaldson lists P550785 is absolute at 10 microns.

The WIX 33585XE is nominal at 7 microns. 33585 is nominal at 10 microns

Absolute is 98.7% efficiency and nominal is 50% efficiency.
Yep, and the OEM requirment for the HPCR fuel filters is 7 microns absolute... which means the only two that meet it are OEM and Baldwin (actually exceeds it)

The Mopar are 35 absolute, so not better.. The stratapore are 25 microns absolute, Amsoil are 15 absolute (they are the best)

They still show them on the website, but they don't meet OEM specs... They also sell Donaldson filters, they too don't meet OEM specs.
