I've heard nothing but trouble from DSE. Its solvent thinning... and you guys with your injection pumps are really rolling the dice using that stuff. Will it work?? Maybe.. Will it trash my Injectors and Injections pump?? More than likely...


I love it how they say Diesel Secret.. Alternative Biofuels Biodiesel....

Biodiesel is a Biofuel..... so its like saying the same thing twice.. and biodiesel is in no shape way or form anything close to DSE... what a crock that is!

Besides DSE what is a good pump/ filter to use to suck up used wvo? I'm talking about a portable pump/filter.

make sure the oil is in ok condition, meaning it isn't a bunch of sludge. If it is in tanks or containers dip a stick in the top to see if the oil is clean. Should be clear with a brownish tint. After you have determined the quality get some 55 gal drums or a 275gal tote tank and a harbor freight diesel pump and start stocking up and let it settle. By that time u will probably figure out how u plan on using it.

Why is it every time I hear some one bashing DSE they are always selling a different product?

i just got a system through golden fuel. they sell an ac/dc pump that attaches to your battery and pumps at i believe 7-15 gallons per minute...which isnt bad. it even comes with a gas pump like nozzle and handle.

ok ive been meaning to ask this. a buddy of mine going to school for mechanics and diesel mechanics(probably going to get flamed for this too) but any way he said that if you get used vegetable oil, just to filter it all, get it as clean as you can and you can run it rite through mixed with diesel. says 50/50 in the summer time? i had a hard time believing him but he swears it would work and knows a few guys that do it. inputs on this???? anyone done it/tried it or are you just as questionable as me

I am one of those guys, blending works just don't get to crazy. I have pushed blending to it's max and have found out that 50/50 is the max and maybe pushing it depending on your engine. You will know when to back down on the mixture when your engine doesn't start up as quickly and smokes for more than 30 seconds. I have been sticking to 30% veg oil to 70% ulsd. I feel that it runs smoother and gives less start up problems. My results only applies for 5.9 common rail cummins engines.

Just ordered the basic DSE kit. Gonna give it a try. The Video came through today. Looks extra simple and cheap to build. After I run some, I`ll be sure to let ya know.

I have been blending with good results. Just got to make sure its filtered good. I use a screen on pick up tube then run it through two filters then water/fuel seperator then add diesel kleen.

I got a buddy that has a ford ranger diesel (mid-80's) that he runs on straight veggie oil, he also runs is 6.2 powered chevy on straight veggie oil. All he does is strain the oil out with coffee filters and pours it staight in his tank. Yesterday he told me that he has an entire full tank of veggie, its been mid 30's and he claims he has no problems. He told me that he talked to a guy with a 12v ctd that runs veggie straigt, no problems. Ive been debating on trying it.

he probably has a heating system for the veg oil. Older diesel engines or non-common rail engines can run svo better than CR engines due to lower rail pressure. Always start small when blending so that we don't see a horror story in this forum.
