Lubrication Engineers-Best fluid IMHO

Hello everyone,

I know some of you may be familiar with this company and/or their products. I have found very little information regarding them on the forum though. So, I have decided to create a post regarding Lubrication Engineers various fluids that they offer.

I am in no way affiliated with this company and will not benefit at all from any sales. I simply wish to spread the word and share my experiences with their product(s).

Here is the companies website: Lubrication Engineers, Inc. - Welcome.

Gear Box Demo-

I personally use their Monolec 8800 Motor Oil - Specifically designed for Diesels. Upon changing over to the 8800 I gained 1 mpg fuel mileage. The engine also seemed to run smoother. I ran 12,000 miles before changing the oil and probably wont change this next batch until 15000-20000 miles. I wil however change the filter at say 10k with a 20k drain or mid-way. Look into what they recommend for oil drains. It's really quite impressive. You get what you pay for.

I have yet to change my rear-end luve over to Monolec 703 because I plan to swap out the gears. Didn't want to spend the money twice.

I want to use their 7500 Power fluid in my transmission. From what I have read...It will do wonders. I have no doubt about this but I'm wondering if anyone else out there has done so.

If not, I suppose I will be the first.

I have done a fair bit of research and have found nothing but extremely positive remarks for LE's products. I found a forum a while back where someone had like 10 different types of oils tested and LE was ahead of them all. I must say Amsoil wasn't to far behind but behind none the less.

My father ran LE in his 96' Cummins dually. He swears it is the sole reason his transmission held up after losing all the fluid in the transmission. Long story short...When it was torn apart everyone was amazed at the lack of damage to the internal components. 85% of the parts were cleaned and reused.

I must say, their products are not cheap but when it comes to transmission and rear-end. I want them to run cool and be well protected, even in the event of complete loss of fluid!! The biggest drawback is where to buy it!
You can find some here:
Mag-Hytec

I hope this thread gets a bit of feedback as I'm quite interested to hear what you all have to say. Hopefully, some first hand experience from people.

If your one of those people that wants the best...Look no further.

Thanks for reading.

Thumbs up yes, L.E. is good stuff

many years ago, I used to work next door to a VERY HIGH END automotive shop that repaired Ferrari, Lotus, Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin, etc.

The owner of that shop was adamant about L.E. products being the only thing he used for all makes of exotic vehicles! He had 55 gallon drums of it delivered monthly.

Not sure about Moly but their website could answer your question. There engine oil is comprised mostly of mineral oil w/ a Monolec additive. The Monolec is where it's at!

A mineral oil based oil, assuming they are marketing it as a synthetic oil, means it is a Group III synthetic akin to Mobil 1 or Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme. It would then not be a Group IV PAO (poly-alpha-olefin) synthetic or a Group V (ester) based synthetic. AMSOIL is a Group IV primarily with Group V bases where advantageous. I pulled up a few MSDS sheets from the Lubrication Engineers website and they seem to also reinforce the assertion that they are a mineral oil based synthetic (Group III).

More info on the types of oil HERE.

@ Duluth Diesel. They are not selling oil as synthetic. I would be willing to bet that my preferred LE product would test better and prove superior to any given oil, regardless of price at the end of any given period of use. In fact, that is the LE promise written on the back of every single bottle.

Now, I keep in mind that I gain absolutely nothing from your purchasing LE. I just want to show you the light....From my point of view.

I think it's worth your time to look into the company. The website really dose say a lot if u can find the testimonials. Truckers, Wind Turbine's, Heavy Duty! High performance...You better believe it.

Here is a replacement link for the dead link: Gear box demo- ISO 220 Gear oils.

I worked in Chrysler Powertrain Engineering. The transmissions use very specific clutch friction material and are tuned to ATF+4. That means a very excellant ATF fluid from another chemistry may give poor results. All I am saying is someone needs to bet there transmission and build up about 100K miles with this product before I used it. Captmike, have you switched to their ATF yet? How many miles so far? Thanks

I know of one local guy with an '03 NV5600. He thought the tranny's synchros were going out. Switched over to LE and said the trans shifted like butter. He became a dealer after that.

My father said the same thing about his trans.

I just met a guy yesterday that has a performance shop and has been drag racing for years. Swears by LE and uses nothing but LE.

Dbasberg- I have not switch to their ATF yet... I gave considered switching to their 7500 power fluid. I'm told this is what all the drag racing people use in their auto's. Given most of them are gas I suppose they deal with less torque. However, I will say if you were to use a oil that was meant to be direct replacement for the ATF 4. I would be fully confident in LE outperforming.
