Ok all- he's the update now that I started making Bio
I've run it for 3 weeks now- I'm probably up to about b50 now. I've had no issues-
The truck sounds quiter- not real noticable- but on the highway- you can tell.
I would say small drop in hp- but with the chip and a solid push on the petal- still gets up and moves.
I have an aftermarket lift pump that I installed after I put in a low fuel pressure alarm- that stayed on- I did this BEFORE I started using bio-
I have a spare fuel filter under the seat- but have not had to use it yet. I started with a new filter- and I have over 300 miles on bio so-far.
We are settling for 24 hours and triple washing the bio- and drying with heat after a few hours of settling after the finnal dry.

Ok- newest updates- It's been on 2 months and I have only added about 5 gallons of diesel to some of the bio because it was still dropping in the low 30's here. No problems at all. Definate different smell- noticably quiter- and no loss of fuel pressure at all. As per MPG- to be honest- I haven't cared becasue I'm making the fuel for 1.68 a gallon. I will figure it out- but I'm sure the slight drop in hp- is also going to show a small drop in mpg- and that is typical from what I understand. I am estimating I'm running about b80 now.

I'm running between a b50 and a b100 blend (depending on temp) in my 2008 common rail. I've put about 10,000 miles on it with biodiesel and have had no problems. It sure is nice driving past these $4/gallon stations!

anyone run propane with bioD? just wondering, I'm considering both but propane seems the easier to do however bioD seems to pay back earlier. Any problems running both or know of anyone???

Good job arcoen, keep us in the loop! BigRattlerDiesel are you using magnasol for your drywash? We test the gelling thing in our freezer, small samples of our b100 mixed with the various commercial antigell products and or kerosene,#1 or#2 diesel etc,and the beer is right below in the fridge part, now that's my kind of science!

What kind of system do you have set up and what mods to your truck. First time I've heard a 6.7 using bio-diesel? What type - veg oil?
