First Time w/2stroke Oil

At my last fill up I didn't have my usual PS+MMO mixture, so I bought a quart of 2 stroke oil and dumper her down the tank. I'll tell you what, my truck has never idled quieter (and I have one of the quiet ones...no knock) and I'm getting some real real good mileage. The overhead is reading 18.0mpg and it's always about 1.5mpg low as I hand calculate. Here's the kicker though; I'm just over half way between 1/2 and 3/8 of a tank and I have 385 miles on this tank right now!!!! This does include about 100 miles of towing my work trailer too!! This is looking to be an all time high for me!!! We've been back into straight no.2 now for about a month so it could be that coupled with the 2 stroke oil. I'm a real happy camper right now!!! I'll update what the tank finishes up at too!!!

I use a mix of 1 quart 2-stroke oil, and 1 quart of Power Service Diesel Kleen per tank of fuel - EVERY fillup!

Last 2 MPG checks, hand calculated with tank topped off to top of filler neck = 22.2 MPG...

I've been runn'n the stuff for about 4 months now and my best mileage was 25mpg on a road trip cruising 70. My last fill up I got 20.83 combined highway and city and with that tank I added a bottle of stanadyne with the 2 stroke. With just 2 stroke I averaged just over 19 highway/city. :thumbsup

A quart is close enough to a litre for all intents and purposes - this isn't super critical.

And no, I've never used MMO - but HAVE always used 2-stroke and PS - even in the '91 truck for 120,000 miles before buying the '02.

My primary purpose, is for improved fuel lubricity to protect the VP-44 injection pump, but gladly accept all related fringe benefits as well!
