Synthetic ATF

I'm coming up on a fluid and filter change and was wondering if it's ok to top off with valveoline synthetic atf, thats what is available locally. I don't know if the mopar fluid thats in it is synthetic or not and I don't know if I should mix them and I don't want to spend the money on a flush plus I just don't think it's needed. I'm at 60,000 miles btw. Any thoughts?

All the ATF+4 is synthetic...What you need is really up to you! Stick with a quality fluid, i.e. Valvoline, Mopar, Amsoil and you cannot go wrong

The fluid in your transmission SHOULD already be ATF+4 and therefore a synthetic. Any brand ATF+4 will do fine, Mopar, Valvoline, Super Tech...etc etc...

I have a MAG-HYTEC transmission pan with the drain plug, so it makes it easy to drain and fill. Unfortunately my T.C. doesn’t have a drain plug, but I drain and fill the trany pan with Amsoil ATF about every 10,000 miles. So far, my trany fluid seems to stay nice and pink. The drain plug also is magnetic, so it picks up any metal dust circulating in the oil. Heat kills transmissions, so I am a big advocate for running the absolute best transmission fluid and changing if often.
