they didn't say it sucks. they said it works well considering it's just 2 cycle oil. they picked up about 1 mpg all around on it.

Ok, I don't know what your friend is smoking, but I have the mag and it says that using 2 cycle oil helps. Its not as good as Opti-lube, but it will help you gain 1 mpg's.

They tested wally worlds SuperTech 2 cycle tc-w3 oil and the results were very good. Its on pages 150-152.

So to answer your question, its not true.

and for the record I love Diesel Power Mag.

Yeah its amazing when you say something that is against the norm here or just trying to put out your results that others say your full of crap.

I know how you feel dude, they've done it to me too!

Don't feel bad. I didn't have any positive results using it either. The only thing I noticed is the engine ran a little quitter. I'm using 5% biodiesel anyway so don't really need 2-stroke oil

In the 3rd gens I haven't seen the same benefits that the 2nd gens get. The added lubrication is a benefit that you cant necessarily feel though. Also the newer injection systems have been designed with reduced lubrication as a factor.

I used it for 4,000 miles of towing before I pulled an oil sample. The analysis said, “No corrective action required, oil is suitable for continued use, resample at next interval.” I was a little high on copper, calcium, phosphorus and zinc, and I wondered how much the TCw3 contributed to some of those numbers.
