Schaeffer's oil & fuel additives

Newbee here. Anyone using Schaeffer's 15W-40 (7000 series) oil and/or the diesel treat in there engines? Heard great reviews about their oil analysis results - just looking for some real world feedback.

Enough said there.....If I haven't heard of it personally...Then it isn't good enough for my rig. Go with AMSOIL if you're looking for a great synthetic oil. I'm running the AME 15-40 Diesel/Marine Full synthetic oil with the Nanofiber oil filter. Great oil, makes the truck quieter, cold starts WAY easier (this oil has a -44* pour point) and run a lot smoother. Some ppl even claim to get mileage gains also.

Friend of mine runs Schaeffer's 15W-40 in his Dmax and says it's the best thing since sliced bread.
Sorry but I have no personal experience with it.

Thanks for the fast reply guys. Thanks marine for the "bob is the oil guy website" - great info. I have used Amsoil in the past on my Harley & cars and it worked fine. The reason I asked about the Scaeffer's is because I have read some oil analysis reports (diesel engines) that have show Chevron Delo 400 (15W-40) and Schaeffer's 15W-40 (7000 series synthetic blend) to show the best wear results. Keeping iron & copper wear down real low in the single digits - resulting in longer engine life. Looking at running it in a 2005 5.9L CTD.

Anyone running an oil analysis have any results to compare to?

Thanks in advance....

As stated by Marine, Schaeffer's is very good oil. Their 5W40 has shown great wear numbers (BITOG). I would imaging their Moly Bond 15W40 would be a good one to try. Tough to find in Canada though.

I sold it in Canada for years (12+) as a dealer since it is not carried anywhere up here. We sold it exclusively to the oilsands and construction industry. It is an unbelievable product bar none. It is backed by every conceivable test and study on earth. They advertise extended oil changes and back then offered free oil analysis after the 1st and then every other change and the numbers were super! When the Canadian dollar got real weak it stopped being feasible to seel it up here, so havent used it for a while, but my past experience says it is a great product. Never one complaint in all those years!

I guess the truck I bought has been ran on Schaefers since day one. I hope to do the same.. but the question is.. where can I get it here in Michigan? Do I need to make a road trip to ST Louis? or what?

I use it in my 97 since the motor has been rebuilt. Its good stuff my uncle is a tractor mechanic and dealer and sells it for everyone to run in their tractors and has good results.
