Synthetic in the diffs should me mandatory if you ask me. Doesn’t have to be Amsoil. Don't expect MPG gains though, you can expect the gears to last a lot longer. That’s a lot of torque to redirect; synthetic is the best lube for the job.

Running the severe service 75w90...no increase in mileage, none expected. But if you go to the higher weight expect some slight mpg loss.

As above run a quality synthetic....whoever's you can get, also don't spray brake cleaner ect into the case when you have the cover off...just wipe out the gunk.

Haven't run enough tanks to say if any change in mileage.

I have a mega cab too, they have the AA equivelant of the dana 60 front and rear axel. Amsoil shows the rear to have a limited slip, doesnt even show a 60 for the front. DO you run the limited slip additive in your diffs front or rear? I am trying to figure out which exact oils to run, but I want to do a full amsoil synthetic switch.

Run the severe duty 75w90, no limited slip is needed..IF you had some chattering then maybe but I have not had any on mine in two years

Ditto. No Friction modifier needed due to the helical gears. Just the gear lube. I have had no chattering.

i run 75/90 royal purple, easy to find, no special ordering. if your often towing heavy use a heavier oil. correct, you don't need any friction additives, you will find that some gear oils already have them anyway
