I bought my truck from Derrick and they told me that i couldnt even put the leveling kit on without voiding the warranty, so i asked how they sold trucks with lifts on them already for 60-70,000 with no warranty and they told me that they would send the costumer back to the place that installed the lift for them lol. Anyway i recently took my truck to them thinking the balljoints were gone and they covered it under warranty even though the front end was crossed off the warranty papers when i bought the truck, he said it was due to having the gold plan for warranty, i also have alot of friends that have lifts and they havent had any problems with warranty. Hope this helps a little

I am pretty sure that if the spacers are installed by a shop with a good rep then I cant see how they can void the warranty the spacer doesnt do anything other than bring the truck level it is not concidered a lift just my 2 cents

Ask the dealership which shop they would recomend do the work...They might cut you some slack if they know who is doing it...

I have a 91 350 dually 2 wheel drive that I would like to lift up, at least 2 inches. What do I have to do to do this and will it effect my steering? Would I need to re-aline the steering or change any thing? Who would I go to, to get this done? I'm in Calgary.

u won't have to replacen any ball or u joints. the only thing that you have to do isput longer shocks in the front end because stock front shock will lose a inch of up travel and 2 inches of down travel. i have a 3 inch leveling kit on my truck and installed it myelf over 40,000 miles ago.

Rams have a solid front axle not a independant front end. the only angle thats going to change is the joint from the transfer case to front axle and the front joint out the trans.

The only angle that will change is caster. which is the angle of the upper and lower ball joint centerline. neg angle can cause death wobble. but nothing a alignment shop cant fix.

diggerdave, i guess to answer you question, will they void the warranty. sure! its a non factory part installed with changes the geometery of the suspension. finding a dealership that is willing to look the other way on small stuff like that is the way to go.

look at it like this. you install a set of awesome 20x10's with 35's and you leveling kit. now you have a front wheelbearing going out. the front leveling kit wouldnt cause a wheel bearing issue, but the wheels would. they dont have to replace or repair because of the wheels being wide and more strain on the bearings.. i hope you understand.

a lot of us believe the motto "pay to play".

im looking at them too, and weighing the pros and cons..
