rough idle?

just got my valves adjusted at 192000 kms... '04 2500 5.9, been using husky diesel for the last 8 months, the day after my valve job, when it's in park and i rev it, seems to sputter back down to 750 rpms... diesel mech at eastside said its a bad injector, but i still have plenty of power... anybody have horror stories about eastside? my truck was running just fine until i got my valves done there... another buddy of mine said to soak a new fuel filter in synthetic atf... has anybody ever done this?

lets see soak a fuel filtre in atf, well that doesnt sound like a bad idea if you want to really screw your injectors, amongst your engine as everybody knows mixing fuel and oil dont mix very well, and eastside i wouldnt talke my truck there if it was the last place in alberta,i've had real good luck (knock on wood)with varcity chris there is very honest, and tell's it like it is,i bought my truck there and have been very happy with the service he gives me,big 4 is bad also, they changed parts on me that didnt need changin cause they were hurtin for work go figure, anyway good luck with yur trucks problem, might even be yur throttle body???

my buddy took his truck to eastside for a basic service and they overfilled the oil and didnt tell him so well he was driving down deerfoot and well he noticed a load of oil spraying on his window from under the hood,so he had it towed to varcity and they said there was too much oil and well his engine is screwed well he told them it was just serviced at eastside and varcity called to confirm and they pretty much denied doing anything wrong and they wouldnt warrenty it,so varcity warrentyed it for him that was real cool, considering it could have been prevented,so i just wont let them touch my truck for that reason honesty goes a long way.

wow... that's messed up... how long ago was that? I called varsity today, and he wasn't so sure it was my injectors either by the sounds of it... I was pulling 6000lbs, right up home road and it didn't even hesitate or sputter, not a smidge. They seem to want to clear up, I think it'll be okay... anybody know anyplace in town that sells those CAT 2 micron fuel filter kits?

nope... no check engine lights, nothing weird going on there, plenty of power... i spoke to a guy named eric at varsity, and after i get my current front end nightmare over with today, i'll maybe have him have a look at it... i filled my tank and reset my fuel economy setting, and it's been going up and up, it's at 16.8mpg right now, so i think if my buddy at eastside says one more thing about a bad injector, i'm off to varsity for sure...
