Reputable Shop in Calgary...Big Dog Perfromance
Just got my 2004.5 Dodge back from Big Dog Perfromance in Caglary & nothing but positive experience again. If you are looking for a shop where the owner is hands on, the technicians are competent & freindly & the service is prompt at a fair price then this is the place for you. My 2004.5 Quad Cab & my 2005 Dually will not be going anywhere for service other than this shop. So far they have handled my vehicles as though they are theirs...exactly what I am lookiing for in customer service. If you are looking for a place you can trust then give Richard & the guys a call.

I saw the photos you posted on the Suspension Discussion - that is a nice-looking truck. I'm a complete mod-novice, and was thinking of a lift for my 2500, but I've now been won over by the Carli suspension kit. I'm in Edmonton but it sounds like it's worth the trip to Calgary to see Richard and crew at Big Dog. As this is my daily driver, I'd think it would increase comfort on those long drives and maybe improve cornering. Plus, since its only and inch or 2 of lift, maybe I'd still have a chance of parking the truck in the garage! How have you found the handling since you got the starter kit installed?

I took back the factory shocks that came off the 2004.5 Quad Cab thinking that I may put them on the 05 Dually in time....Having driven the Quad Cab with the Carli Starter System in it I can tell you that the factory shocks are nothing but paper weights now; once you drive the truck modified there is NO GOING BACK to a stock suspension. At the very least upgrade your factory shocks to BIllsteins or some other quality brand. If you are thiking about a levelling kit & shocks skip that step & move up to the Starter system....you will NOT regret it. Handling on pavement is very good & the expansion joints seem nearly non-existent now. I am out on a Rig now & running roads I have run for years in my 2000 GMC 2500 that had Billsteins all around; I can tell you that this truck handles the off roads better now than any stock Dodge truck ever could & rides almost as nice as the GMC did. Really ruff roads are a piece of cake now compared to stock.

I had the dually booked in with Richard for Firstone Air Bags on Monday but we pushed it off until Wednesday; no way I am driving on those roads if I do not have too.
