Need Help ?

I've been running my Smarty on low numbers, but the other day i decided to try it at a higher setting, well it spun and then started to accelerate. I put it back down to a low setting, but now I want to get a Torque Converter, and a valve body, but I can't find any body who will install it for me. I talked to Northern diesel and he can get the goods, but doesn't do the install. Does anybody have any recommendations? I would try it my self, but something tells me that won't go over real well.

Talk to Jim at NDP and see where he had his done at. I beliee it was Quality Transmission. YOu could also try B&B trans Mission or Top Jimmy in the valley. There are plenty of shops, just look inthe yellow pages. I have not had to do any tranny work.......yet. So I can't tell you who is good and who is not.

I'm driving to Washington in May to pick up a drift boat, so I'll get it done down there probably. It's hard for me to let anyone rip apart my trainy with out any good recomendations. I have a few old college buddies that live down there and know of some really good diesel shops they've used.

Hi ak20065.9liter,
You might want to go to your Control Panel and fill out your location information, or just include in your post what city you are in.

Getting help with recommendations for shops or even just people willing to assit you usually requires knowing where that person is for reference.

Good luck with your Trans. work!

Sorry! I figured since I was on the Alaska forum somebody might know someone they would recommend in Alaska. Alaska maybe big land wise, but diesel shop wise there's probably only a handful of shops, and the majority of those shops are in Anchorage.I've notice most people from my observation order on line. Oh well, if I can't make the trip to Washington for some reason, I'll be doing it my self.
