Check In!!

Sure is lonely in here by myself.

Folks should check in. Just post so we know how many AK folks we have. Also, we need a Chapter President (not me), someone to bring everyone together for a meet-and-greet a couple times a year. Maybe the occasional BOMB party.

Brian, you know as well as I do, AK is gonna have to be split... right LOL. Somethin' about that 1000 mile stretch between rain country and cold country. Anyway, I know a cat in Juneau that'll prolly be into the S.E. chapter, I'll give him a holler, and I know of at least 12-14 guys there that were de-virginized over the last year. I'll get in touch with all of them for you. Some are members, but most aren't. Can't say I can help much up in the interior though. Where's ol' AKDSL, or whatever his name is? The DTR chap pres?

Chris

Sorry it took so long to chime back in....family emergency came up.

Anyway, yeah, I figured at least three. We have always had a problem getting the Anchorage and Fairbanks folks together. It is drivable and you would think everyone would jump at a chance once a year to meet up at the drag strip for a little fun/burgers, but we can never make it happen. So, there are two right there. Southeast folks of course, then there are a few out by Toke. Just depends on how many show up here and what everyone wants to do. Have to give it some time I guess. Can't do much with just the 3 people we have now.

Also, I'm moving in a few months theonlytexaskid, so unfortunately I won't be around to help get the chapter going or to play at the drag strip when it opens.

Here is the web site for the racetrack: Welcome to Alaska Raceway Park ~ Alaska's Home of the IHRA! They should have the 2007 schedule up shortly. Racing usually starts at the mid to end of May.

Look for "Truck Performance Night" on the schedule when they get it up. Northern Diesel Performance sponsors it. There will be a ton of Hemi's and Lightenings there, but we run in our own diesel class for the bracket racing. They let us beat up on the gassers during the test-n-tune and dial-in before racing starts. It's a good time. Definitely make plans to attend one day. They usually have three or four truck nights per summer. They should all be on a Saturday.

Of course I wait to move to From Valdez to Juneau before buying my limo.. Would have been nice to run with you all this May. I would however be up to taking care of things down here in Southeast.

Am i allowed if my truck lives in AK but I'm detained elsewhere?? I just joined the forum, but am really impressed with the climate of this forum... So when I finally get out of this nasty cat litter box I'd be up for meeting a few fellow Cummins fans.
