swaping 95 cummins block and 06 5.9 block

hi everyone im trying to find out if it is possible to use a cummins 5.9 block out of a 95 dodge to use as a rebuild for my 06 ram 5.9 cummins by swaping head off of 06 onto the other along with other parts is this possible i was told that the blocks are the same i dont know your help is needed
