Best North Alabama Dodge Dealer

I bought my truck out of state because they were $6,000 cheaper that the local dealer so I haven't really built a relationship with the local guys. I only have about 2800 miles on my truck so the only service I did on it was change the oil filter after 600 miles and add some more to it to top it off.

I am thinking of having the dealer service it for the first 10-15,000 miles or so just because it is a brand new truck and maybe they will take care of everything that I need when I get it in there.

I do all my maintenance on all of my other vehicles and my motorcycles so I am not mechanically incapable but I honestly have never had a diesel before in a truck. Only in the tractors.

If you guys think that I am crazy the let me know and I will do all my own maintenance. if you think that it is a good idea, post up your good dealer stories.

I can go from Cullman to Athens or Decatur to Huntsville. I don't really mind any of those places.

Thanks,
Chris

I am in the market for one of the tailgate spoilers as well so I should probably wait around and go get it from the dealer that I am going to use. I don't have any loyalties because this is my first dodge so that is why I am asking.

Thanks,
Chris

james o'neal dodge, there is one dealership in Bremen, Georgia and one somewhere in north AL, but i have only dealt with the one in Bremen. city diesel is located in decatur and the have their own machine shop as well as performance parts and turbos they are really good. but i try to do my own work because you know your truck better that way and learn.

i work at lott motor co in huntsville if anyone know where that is. anyway i work on all there big trucks from 3/4 ton to a peterbuilt rollback they have
the only thing about a diesel is make shure you have a cleen air filter, fill the new oil filter back up befor you install ill and grease it good o and at 15,000 or so you may wana get a new fuel filter just to be safe i have not been under the hood much on the newer trucks but i know my 1st gen truck it easy fuel filter replace and they may have a self air bleener like the 2nd gen 24v did i duno but the fuel filter can be the bigest pane in the but on a diesel
and if you do the pel filter your self make sure you let the truck run for a good 15 20 min befor you shut it off it can take a min for all the air be get out of the system and it may run a lil ruf for a min untill all the air is out
but its all up to you good luck
