Installing 3 dash speakers?

My truck did not come with the 3 in-dash speakers.

Has anyone installed them on a truck that didn't have them?

Did the system sound nicer (I am installing an aftermarket unit), was it worth it?

How hard are they to do?

Thanks in advance.

If you want the 3 dash speakers youll have to get into processing and a bunch of other stuff. More cost effective and guaranteed to sound better would be to get a nice set of 6.5 components installed in your front doors, and some matching coaxials in the rear doors.

I had a Pioneer 8900bt installed with all new speakers (went from 4 to 6) with 2 in dash. None there before. I think it sounds a lot better. Installer said it was no problem.
