JL audio 1000/1 v2 amp

Long story short I came across two Jl audio 1000/1 v2 amps along with 2 13.5 jl w7, I got them for a killer price so I couldn't pass it up. Problem is I have a single cab truck with no space to work with. What I ended up doing was taking the center console out and making a box to place the sub in and using the rear panel to mount the amps. So now that I have my bass problem resolved I now have a issue with my amps for my vocal side of the sound system. Since I have 2 of the same amps I would like to mount the amps mirroring each other. But the question is can I use my other 1000 watt 1 ohm amp for any sort of vocal speaker set up. It does have a HPF setting on it so I'm not sure. I've been told it's not possible but I would love to use that amp and not get rid of it. Any input would be great. Thanks guys.

I'm guessing you have another 1000 watt monoblock amp? If that's the case, a vocal setup isn't very practical for that amp and I wouldn't use it, personally.

I do. Why is it not practical to use. And what is the down side if I was to use it. I'm fairly new to the sound system stuff so I'm not quite sure.

1000 watts on one channel won't work for a vocal setup. You need multiple channels, for zoning/staging, and lower power per channel.

How much vocal power should I look into So the bass doesn't over power my vocals.

It really depends on what speakers you have for the highs.
I'd say between 50-100 x 4 channel amp.
I have 500 watts for 2 jL 10s and just used the stock stereo and the stock speakers and it is plenty.

01 Sport 4x, Quad w/ PV2, Smarty, PhatShaft 62/65/14, 4" turbo back, FASS, Amsoil, 100hp DFI's, TunnelRam, H2 alloys, 5" lift, HD steering, Posi-Lok, Inglewood Trans w/ billet parts. "My work truck"
