Thumbs up Finally removed stock deck for 7" DVD, Nav DNX-9140. Pic's inside.

Well I finally broke down and replaced the stock deck. My friend just installed an 7" indash DVD in his 07 5.9 so I couldnt have stock deck anymore.

Here is what my stereo looked like stock. Boo I know.

Here is what it looks like with the new 7" double din KENWOOD DNX-9140 DVD player with Garmin navigation and Parrot BlueTooth. It is KENWOODS flagship model and has over a million pixel display. Its clear!

I had to order a factory Nav bezel to replace stock 1.5 DIN bezel with the new Nav bezel from my dealer. At the bottom you can see my video iPod cable so I can listen to music or watch movies from my iPhone. I mounted my GPS antenna up above the headliner above the passenger visor. The GPS antenna doesnt have to be outside of the vehical it just has to be facing up incase anyone wondered. I also have the PAC audio SWI-JACK steering wheel interface so I can still use my steering wheel controls. Note the Metal Mulisha lanyard on my keys and Metal Mulisha background.

Here is the custom start up screen that shows while the deck boots up when you first start the truck. I had a member on my KENWOOD forum make it for me.

Here is a better picture of the start up screen that the member designed and chopped my truck into.

On the top of my pillar in the corner of the windshield is where I mounted the microphone for the BlueTooth and voice control.

On the lower right of the screen is the voice command button. You push it and the you can control the deck and its functions hands free with voice control.

Here is the back up cam so I can watch my truck smoke people out behind me on the 7" screen. I got cranky after laying under the truck running the camera cable so I didn't do a fancy camera install. I will find a better spot to mount it when I have time. Sorry for the fuzzy shot.

And for the Sirius box I installed it behind the glove box and mounted it directly bellow the factory Sirius box. On the right side of the factory Sirius box you can see the yellow plug, that's where the factory Sirius antenna was plugged in. Once I unplugged it I had to cut a big yellow caseing off the antenna cable itself and then plugged the factory Sirius antenna directly into the new Sirius box so I have a nice clean install useing the factory antenna and it saved time not haveing to run a new antenna. Sorry again for the fuzzy shot.

Is that a pic of your truck on the display? How did you do that?

Nice unit, by the way!

Nice mount...another good spot for the sirius box is under cup holder area, there is a space you can readily get to.

Yup that is a picture of my truck that shows when you first start up the deck. On KENWOOD decks you can fully customize them and download anything you want for a start up screen or wallpaper with a thumbdrive. I have one of the USB cables from the deck ran to the glove box so it's easy access to download a new pic. The start up screen you have to do some button trucks but it's still easy.

Since I reused the factory antenna I had no choice where to put it. They don't give you any slack in the antenna cable to move it. But you can get an extention cable and drop the head liner and replace the stock Sirius cable with a longer one. But that's too much work for.

Thanks for the compliments. I don't know how I lived with the stock deck before.

I got the deck for $1220US. They wanted $2400CAD for that deck here in Canada! The deck comes with the Garmin nav and BlueTooth built in. Since electronics are so high up here I bought it all through the states. The camera I got for $150US($350CAD here), the Sirius box and adapter was $58US($150CAD here), The PAC audio C2R-CHY4 harness was $55US($180 here!), SWI-JACK for steering wheel interface was $50($150CAD here!), Metra dash kit was $28US($50 here), the iPod video cable I got for $26US($70 here). I did buy the new Nav bezel here at my dealer for $90CAD and bought my antenna adapter here for $15CAD.
