Previous owner of my truck said he got the ecm flashed, and it will go to 33psi WOT with wastegate hose crimped. Does it sound Like I need an ADD when I get my comp box?

Talking

drag comp defuels at 3200 versus the regular comp at 2700...now for the big boys, just go with a redline box, thats atleast 4000...hehe alot of guys use this add as a boost fooler...for ramrollin, id get a boost elbow (out the front of the turbo) which will give u aroung 30 psi, versus just blocking the wastegate...imho

Let me see if I understand... the ADD is a boost fooler but the ECM doesn't only defaul because of boost but also because a RPM threshold is reached right? The regular Comp does the boost fooling but the Drag version also over-rides this RPM threshold limit but only on 5x5. I have called Edge a couple times wanting to upgrade my Comp to a Drag Comp but want the no defuel on all settings not just 5x5. No deal they won't even consider it. Since I drive most of the time on 3x5 it's not really worth much to me if it would still defuel. So let me get this straight. The ADD will prevent RPM related defueling period which would allow a truck running a regular Comp to fuel on out to what RPM?.... regardless of Comp setting?

From what i was told: the comp is on your map sensor, so the only way that a comp or drag comp for that matter measures rpm, is thru voltage thru the map sensor. so ur truck hits about 2700 rpm on a comp, and she starts to defuel...with a drag comp, itll take in the voltage from the map until 3200, and whatever that voltage is. an add goes in between the map sensor and the map/comp plug in and it changes the voltage, and itll fuel Thru 3200 rpm...not only a boost fooler when used alone, its also an anti defueler when used in conjunction with the comp box, thus non-defueling, turning it into a drag comp.
