Water on Floor/Defroster

I have a 2002 2500 w/air conditioning. Recently while operating the air the passenger floor becomes saturated with water. I can see condensation dripping from near the firewall behind the alum collector can??, also a short pipe coming out of the fire wall. Is there suppose to be an elbow with a down spout on that pipe? Also the vacum operated switch for getting the defrosters into action is not working, use to hear it open/close? Any help appreciated. Tom
